Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our service team in the Kankavli area. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and overhauling diesel generators and engines at our workshop and directly at customer sites (field service).
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Efficiently diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in Kirloskar diesel generators and engines.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine preventive maintenance, minor/major overhauls, and emergency breakdown repairs.
- Field Service: Travel to customer sites across the Kankavli region to provide prompt, high-quality technical support.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain absolute compliance with workplace safety standards, including proper tool usage and clean work areas.
- Reporting: Complete service reports, log parts used, and maintain clear communication with the service coordinator and the customer.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: ITI / Diploma in Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV), or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience working with industrial diesel engines or generators (experience with Kirloskar engines is a major plus).
- Skills: Strong understanding of diesel engine fuel systems, cooling systems, and basic electrical systems.
- Attributes: Good problem-solving skills, a customer-first attitude, and a willingness to travel within the designated service territory.
- Requirement: Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and personal transport for field visits.
