The ideal candidate should be able to design and troubleshoot end-to-end integrations between on-premises systems, Azure APIM, Azure Functions/AKS, and enterprise target systems such as SAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and configure Azure API Management (APIM).
- Develop APIM policies for rate limiting, caching, transformation, authentication, authorization, and threat protection.
- Integrate APIM with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, AKS/microservices, SAP, and on-premises systems.
- Design secure Azure-to-on-premises connectivity using VPN, ExpressRoute, VNet integration, Private Endpoints, NSGs, and routing.
- Deploy and integrate middleware/agents or containerized components on AKS.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, Entra ID/Azure AD, OpenID Connect, certificates, and mTLS.
- Manage secrets using Azure Key Vault and Managed Identity.
- Design high availability, load balancing, disaster recovery, and multi-region APIM solutions.
- Implement monitoring using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, APIM diagnostics, and KQL.
- Configure alerts and notifications for API failures, rate-limit violations, latency, and backend connectivity issues.
- Automate APIM and integration deployments using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions and APIOps/IaC.
- Define and manage OpenAPI/Swagger schemas, API versions, products, subscriptions, and API governance.
- Troubleshoot production issues including 502/504 errors, connectivity, authentication, performance, and backend failures.
- Work closely with networking, security, DevOps, application, SAP, and infrastructure teams.
