We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer – MEP to support project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for MEP construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring timely project delivery through effective planning and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Prepare baseline schedules, target programs, and project execution plans for MEP works.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Civil teams to collect and verify project progress data.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and management progress reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Monitor project performance against approved schedules and identify potential delays, risks, and critical activities.
- Prepare and update look-ahead schedules, manpower histograms, S-curves, productivity reports, and resource-loading plans.
- Conduct delay analysis and prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans when required.
- Track procurement, material deliveries, shop drawing approvals, and subcontractor progress to ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide planning inputs to project management.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to planning, scheduling, and project controls.
- Ensure compliance with project milestones, contractual requirements, and reporting standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience(Mandatory) in MEP planning and project controls within construction or contracting companies.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
- Good working knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel, and project reporting tools.
- Sound understanding of MEP systems, construction methodologies, project sequencing, and resource planning.
- Experience in preparing baseline schedules, S-curves, manpower histograms, cash flow forecasts, and progress measurement reports.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, BOQs, procurement tracking, and project documentation.
- Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure MEP projects.
- Knowledge of delay analysis, EOT claims support, and project control procedures.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
