Job Summary
Give Me Trees Trust (GMTT) is looking for a young, dynamic and well-informed Media Assistant who is well-versed in media affairs, communication and social media. The position will involve supporting the Managing Trustee in media, communication, coordination, administrative and day-to-day assistance.
The ideal candidate should have excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Hindi and English. Experience in media and journalism will be preferred, while exposure to publishing, literature and editing will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Managing Trustee in media, communication, public relations and other official matters.
- Draft, edit and, articles, reports, speeches, notes, correspondence and other content in Hindi and English.
- Assist in developing and managing content for the organization’s social media platforms and digital communication channels.
- Coordinate with journalists, media houses, publications, photographers, content creators and other external stakeholders.
- Assist in arranging media interactions, interviews, meetings, events and other communication activities.
- Research current affairs, media trends and relevant topics related to the environment, society and the organization’s work.
- Maintain professional communication and relationships with other departments and stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate the schedule, appointments, meetings and reminders of the Managing Trustee.
- Assist in organizing meetings, preparing agendas, briefing notes, presentations, documents and other required materials.
- Handle or coordinate emails, phone calls, correspondence and follow-ups on behalf of the Managing Trustee when required.
- Coordinate with internal departments, employees and external organizations to ensure timely completion of tasks assigned by the Managing Trustee.
- Follow up on important decisions, action points, meetings and assignments and ensure timely updates.
- Assist with travel planning, meeting arrangements and event coordination.
- Organize and maintain important documents, records and information required by the Managing Trustee.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion while handling organizational and personal information.
- Support the Managing Trustee in day-to-day administrative and coordination work as required.
- Perform any other media, communication, coordination or administrative responsibilities assigned by the Managing Trustee from time to time.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, English, Hindi, Literature or a related field.
- Relevant experience in media and journalism will be preferred.
- Experience or knowledge in publishing, literature and editing will be an added advantage.
- Excellent writing and spoken communication skills.
- Strong command of both Hindi and English.
- Good knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication.
- Well-versed in media affairs, current affairs and communication practices.
- Strong research, writing, editing, coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email and other digital communication tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information with maturity and professionalism.

Salary- 30,000 per month
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
