Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings and layouts for engineering projects. The candidate should have a good understanding of engineering drawings, drafting standards, and AutoCAD software. The ideal candidate should be capable of working closely with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality drawings within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop GA Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Layout Drawings, and Detail Drawings.
- Modify and revise existing drawings based on project requirements.
- Coordinate with Design Engineers and Project Engineers for drawing updates.
- Prepare As-Built Drawings after project completion.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision history of all drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and company specifications.
- Generate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings whenever required.
- Assist in preparing tender and proposal drawings.
- Maintain drawing database and documentation systematically.
- Support site teams by providing required drawing revisions and clarifications.
- Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Process teams for interdisciplinary drawings.
Required Skills
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD (2D mandatory).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of drafting standards and engineering symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, STP, ETP, RO Plant, or EPC projects.
- Knowledge of 3D software such as AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, Revit, or Plant 3D will be an advantage.
- Experience in preparing P&ID, GA Layouts, and Equipment Layouts.
