Position Summary:
The Vice Principal is responsible for the overall management, supervision, and smooth functioning of the entire school, acting as the key operational head under the Principal.
The role involves complete coordination with the Principal, Management, and Trust, ensuring that all academic, administrative, compliance, asset, and operational responsibilities are executed efficiently. The Vice Principal must maintain strict control, discipline, and accountability across all areas of the institution.
Core Responsibilities (Complete School Oversight):
1. Institutional Management & Leadership
- Support the Principal in overall school management and execution of all policies.
- Act as the in-charge of daily school operations.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all departments.
- Maintain discipline, structure, and accountability across the institution.
2. Staff, Students & Parent Supervision
- Supervise and monitor all staff (teaching & non-teaching).
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and performance of staff.
- Oversee student discipline, behavior, and welfare.
- Handle parent concerns, communication, and coordination.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured school environment.
3. Academic & Administrative Control
- Monitor teaching quality, syllabus completion, and academic standards.
- Ensure proper timetable, attendance, exams, and reporting systems.
- Supervise school activities, events, and daily operations.
- Maintain all academic and administrative records.
4. Asset, Infrastructure & Transport Management
- Take responsibility for all school assets, including:
- Land and buildings
- Classrooms and infrastructure
- Equipment and facilities
- Oversee school buses and vehicles:
- Documentation
- Fitness certificates
- Insurance
- Permits and compliance
- Ensure proper maintenance and safety of all infrastructure.
5. Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to:
- CBSE norms and guidelines
- State government regulations
- Safety and statutory requirements
- Handle and monitor:
- All certificates, approvals, and clearances
- Building and safety compliance
- Fitness and operational certifications
- Support handling of Income Tax and institutional compliance matters (in coordination with accounts).
- Maintain complete readiness for inspections, audits, and official visits.
6. Coordination with Management & Trust
- Act as the link between school operations and management/trust.
- Ensure all management decisions are implemented effectively.
- Report regularly on performance, issues, and compliance status.
7. Monitoring, Control & Accountability
- Establish strong monitoring systems for all departments.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Maintain control over operations to avoid lapses or non-compliance.
- Take responsibility for overall institutional discipline and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Postgraduate with B.Ed./M.Ed. (mandatory)
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in school education
- At least 3–5 years in a leadership/administrative role
- Strong knowledge of CBSE norms, school administration, and compliance systems
