About This Opportunity
At Ericsson, we are on a mission to continuously reinvent ourselves — enabling connectivity and digital transformation at a global scale. We are looking for a skilled Cloud Native Infrastructure (CNIS) Engineer with deep hands-on expertise across cloud-native platforms, software-defined infrastructure, enterprise networking, and Linux systems administration.
This role places you at the heart of Ericsson's cloud infrastructure delivery, working with industry-leading technologies that power telecom and enterprise environments worldwide.
What you will do:
End-to-end administration and operations of Ericsson CNIS platforms including Kubernetes, container runtimes, and cloud-native infrastructure components
Manage and optimize Ericsson Cloud Container Distribution (CCD), covering provisioning, upgrades, backup/restore, lifecycle management, and disaster recovery readiness
Perform CCD health checks, configuration drift analysis, capacity tracking, and environment validation across clusters
Work closely with application and platform teams to onboard workloads and provide CCD-level support
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using Ansible for automation of CNIS and CCD tasks
Monitor system performance and availability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and related observability platforms
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational policies
Participate in and lead DR planning, execution, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of major incidents
Maintain detailed runbooks, Method of Procedures (MOPs), and CNIS documentation for operational readiness
The skills you bring:
Hands-on experience with Calico, Multus, CNI plugins, Ceph (SDS), and CSI drivers
Compute host-level cluster configuration, SDI health monitoring, and bottleneck resolution
Working knowledge of SDN concepts, service chaining, and programmable infrastructure
Strong troubleshooting experience across CNIS components
Hands-on experience with Juniper and Extreme Networks switching platforms
Configuration of VLANs, trunking, port profiles, and ACLs
Border leaf switch management, firmware upgrades, backup/restore, and fault troubleshooting
Understanding of SDN integration with container networking layers including Calico
Traffic filtering, network isolation, and multi-tenant CNIS network architecture
Performance analysis, switch stacking, component replacement, and chassis management
Advanced RHEL administration including LVM, MPIO, cluster configurations, and OS tuning
Patch management, firmware upgrades, backup/recovery scheduling and validation
Performance troubleshooting, kernel-level analysis, and log auditing
SAN topology, host-side storage integration, and network storage troubleshooting
Hardware troubleshooting on HP ProLiant and Dell PowerEdge servers
Strong knowledge of ITIL processes — incident, problem, and change management
Ability to lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major CNIS, network, and infrastructure incidents.
