Senior Academic Counsellor – Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Academic Counsellor to guide students and parents in choosing the right educational programs and career paths. The candidate should have strong communication, counselling, and sales skills with the ability to convert enquiries into admissions.
Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, and academic programs
- Handle inbound and outbound admission enquiries
- Follow up with leads and convert them into admissions
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable programs
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and admissions in CRM
- Coordinate with academic and marketing teams for admission activities
- Conduct counselling sessions through calls, meetings, and online platforms
- Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets
- Support students throughout the admission process
Requirements
- Proven experience in academic counselling, admission counselling, or education sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong convincing and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work with targets and deadlines
- Basic knowledge of CRM and lead management systems
- Professional and student-friendly approach
Preferred Skills
- Experience in EdTech or training institutes
- Team handling or mentoring experience
- Multilingual communication skills
Qualification
- Any Bachelor’s Degree
- (MBA or relevant experience is an added advantage)
Experience
- 1+ years of experience in academic counselling or education industry
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kalamassery, Kochi, Kerala
