Monitor stock levels to maintain optimum availability while preventing overstocking and obsolescence. Conduct regular stock verification and physical audits.
Raise purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery of parts. Handle warranty claims, supplier returns, and credit tracking.
Assist in supervising, training, and scheduling parts personnel and warehouse staff.
Collaborate closely with the service and maintenance departments to ensure technicians have the necessary parts for repairs.
Handle customer inquiries, process orders, and ensure accurate billing and pricing.
Prepare sales performance, inventory turnover, and profitability reports using ERP/Dealership Management Systems (DMS).
Requirements and Qualifications
Typically 2 to 5+ years of experience in parts operations, supply chain management, or inventory control within an automotive, marine, or heavy machinery dealership.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and strong MS Excel skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation capabilities.
- Education: A bachelor's degree, diploma, or ITI certification in engineering, supply chain management, or a related business discipline.
- Your familiarity with specific ERP/DMS systems (like SAP or Tally)
