1. Strategic Responsibilities
- Run a Self-sustained Institute with day-to-day control of the revenue and expense budgets.
- Establish IIGJ as an Independent, reliable destination for education and training to the gems & jewellery Industry.
- Recruit/retain talent – both academic and non-academic staff - to meet the Institute’s budgeted objectives.
- Collaborate with high schools, colleges, and career counselors to achieve online and offline enrollment budgets.
- Collaborate with Industry/experts for placements, internships, and project works for students.
2. Business Development and Marketing
- Strategize and monitor branding, marketing, and effective communication to gain market share and leadership.
- Collaborate with retailers and corporate houses in the gems & jewellery sector for B2B education/training needs.
- Collaborate with Schools / Colleges / Universities to offer Gems and jewelry-related education programs.
Business Operations
- Monitor, analyze, and achieve budgeted revenue, collections, and expense targets.
- Establish systems and processes to ensure smooth day-to-day Operations
- Ensure regulatory compliance at all times – ethical governance and compliance are essential to this role.
- Handle entire operations of IIGJ Mumbai and be responsible for revenue generation and profitability.
- Review and align training programs of all internal team members to create a best-in-class team.
- Plan faculty meetings, orientation, training programs, etc. to achieve the desired academic standards.
- Should be abreast with the latest technology and techniques to provide training to faculty
- Keep the per-student cost ratio within approved limits.
- Preferably have academic and administrative experience with reputed Institute/s.
4. Academic Administration
- Manage the scheduling of classes, examinations, assessments, and all academic events to maintain an efficient and effective academic calendar.
- Monitor student performance, offer academic support, and implement strategies to promote student success.
- Coordinate industry visits and internships to provide students with practical exposure and enhance their employability.
5. Quality Assurance
- Establish and uphold rigorous quality assurance standards for academic programs, assessments, term-end examinations, and faculty performance.
- Regularly evaluate and assess courses, leveraging feedback from students, faculty, and industry partners to drive continuous improvement.
6. Collaboration and Industry Engagement
- Forge strategic partnerships with industry leaders, and domain experts within the gems and jewellery sector to ensure a steady flow of top-notch visiting lecturers.
- Collaborate with industry experts to design specialized workshops, seminars, and guest lectures for students.
- Stay at the forefront of industry developments, fostering relationships that ensure our curriculum remains relevant and industry-aligned.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
