Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth in freight forwarding services. The role involves lead generation, market research, and collaboration with internal teams to provide customized logistics solutions that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Lead Generation:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.
- Generate and qualify leads for ocean, air, and inland freight services.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and convert leads into long-term customers.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Understand client requirements and offer tailored freight forwarding solutions.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and act as a key point of contact for queries.
3. Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements with customers in coordination with the pricing team.
- Work closely with internal departments (operations, documentation, and customer service) to ensure seamless service delivery.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Provide insights and feedback to the management team for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
5. CRM & Process Management:
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer data in CRM systems.
- Ensure all sales activities are in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Support marketing initiatives and participate in trade events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience for Executive: 2-6 years in sales, business development, or account management in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Experience for manager/ GM: 6-10 years in sales, business development, or key account management in freight forwarding/logistics.
- Knowledge: Freight services, INCOTERMS, customs clearance, supply chain solutions, and competitive pricing strategies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and ERP systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to handle objections and close deals.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
