Job Summary
The Solar Site Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and executing solar power plant installation projects at site. The role involves ensuring that all civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards, engineering specifications, and statutory regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution
- Supervise the installation of rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Ensure execution of projects as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Coordinate civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical installation activities.
- Conduct site surveys and assess installation feasibility.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal departments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Plan manpower, equipment, and material requirements for site execution.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and resolve site-related issues.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and installation standards.
- Conduct inspections of materials and completed work.
- Verify installations before commissioning.
- Identify defects and implement corrective actions.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Ensure the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain compliance with statutory regulations and electrical safety standards.
Testing & Commissioning
- Assist in system testing and commissioning.
- Verify electrical connections, inverter installation, earthing, and protection systems.
- Coordinate with DISCOMs and clients during inspections and commissioning.
- Prepare commissioning documentation and handover reports.
Documentation
- Maintain site records, inspection reports, measurement books, and progress reports.
- Prepare material reconciliation statements.
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, and completion reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for project handover.
Client Relationship
- Attend client meetings and provide project status updates.
- Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Support the successful handover of completed projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certification in Solar PV installation or renewable energy is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
