Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Trivandrum (Hybrid – Work From Office)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Senior Business Analyst with 8+ years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will play a key role in gathering business requirements, analyzing processes, documenting functional specifications, and ensuring the successful delivery of business solutions. The candidate should possess strong domain expertise in banking, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Requirement Gathering & Documentation
- Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
- Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
- Prepare and maintain Functional Specification Documents (FSD), System Design Documents (SDD), user stories, and other project documentation.
- Ensure requirements are complete, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
2. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and technical teams.
- Facilitate discussions between business and development teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to project stakeholders.
3. Business & Process Analysis
- Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and business process analysis.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend process improvements.
- Support business transformation initiatives through process optimization.
4. Testing & Delivery Support
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and validating business requirements.
- Assist in defect resolution and production readiness activities.
- Ensure successful implementation and business acceptance of delivered solutions.
5. Banking Domain Compliance
- Ensure business solutions comply with banking regulations, industry standards, and internal governance policies.
- Support regulatory and compliance initiatives across financial systems.
6. Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Mentor junior Business Analysts and provide domain expertise.
- Review business documentation and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
- Promote best practices in business analysis and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of Business Analysis experience in the Banking and Financial Services domain.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, payments, lending, financial operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and basic SQL.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates from Kerala or nearby states are preferred.
- Experience working on enterprise banking or financial transformation projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
