RESPONSIBILITIES
About the Department
The Finance department of BW LPG India is headed by the Head of Finance and has a planned team size of seven colleagues. The team is tasked with achieving world-class quality across all Finance, Accounting and Compliance activities with a strong focus on ensuring full transparency and zero surprises in all its deliverables.
Role Summary
This role is responsible for AP and Treasury activities for Indian entities of BW LPG.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all accounts payable tasks, including vendor master data requests, vendor invoice processing, payroll accounting, as well as vendor and other payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow up on vendor advances for timely closure. Assist with reconciliations of major vendors with recurring transactions on a regular basis and follow up on pending vendors invoices based on GSTR-2B reports.
- Participate in treasury operations including banking operations, submission of documentation as per regulatory requirements for cross-border payments, etc.
- Support the department in enhancing interdepartmental processes to ensure streamlined procedures. Provide the required assistance in systems initiatives.
- Actively participate in the development of the quality management system and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures. Provide financial analysis, both ad hoc and structured.
- Collaborate effectively with Operations, Finance and any other department necessary to perform activities in an effective manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Finance/ Accounting from a recognised university with good academic track record
- Minimum 5 years of experience in both AP and Banking operations preferably within the shipping industry
- Strong numeracy and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- This is an onsite role based in Mumbai, India.
