United Industries is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Machining Unit Incharge to lead our machining operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production, maintaining quality standards, optimizing machining processes, and leading the machining team to achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the machining unit.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor production to meet delivery timelines.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machining centers, manpower, tooling, and other resources.
- Oversee machine setup, tooling, programming coordination, process improvements, and the design & development of jigs and fixtures.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Lead, train, and motivate machine operators and supervisors to achieve productivity and quality targets.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize machine downtime.
- Drive cycle time reduction, productivity improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, 5S, and company policies.
- Analyze production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in machining operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of machining centers, CNC turning, tooling, machining processes, production planning, and jig & fixture design.
- Knowledge of CNC programming, including VMC programming (Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi or equivalent), program optimization, and machining process improvement will be an added advantage.
- Experience in team management, quality systems, and productivity improvement.
- Good leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
