Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mould Design Engineer with experience in designing Plastic Injection Moulds. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Cimatron software and a strong understanding of mould design concepts, tooling standards, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design plastic injection moulds using Cimatron software.
- Develop complete mould assemblies, parting lines, cooling layouts, and ejection systems.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
- Analyze product feasibility and recommend design improvements for manufacturability.
- Coordinate with tool room, production, and project teams during mould development.
- Modify existing mould designs based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Support mould trials and resolve design-related issues.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Cimatron software.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection mould design.
- Understanding of mould components, cooling systems, sliders, lifters, and hot runner systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of injection moulding processes and tooling standards.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Tool Engineering.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in automotive, consumer products, or plastic manufacturing industries.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple design projects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
