Job Description – UK Bookkeeper
Position: UK Bookkeeper
Location: Kochi
Department: Accounts & Finance
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for UK-based clients.
- Record and reconcile bank transactions, sales invoices, purchase invoices, and expenses.
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
- Prepare and review VAT returns and supporting schedules.
- Process payroll data and maintain payroll-related records.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and client requirements.
- Work with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Coordinate with client teams and resolve bookkeeping-related queries.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audit requirements when needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of VAT concepts and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with UK clients or UK bookkeeping processes.
- Knowledge of UK VAT, payroll, and management accounts.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, AAT, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Salary: As per company standards and candidate experience.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
