Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Plant In charge to manage day-to-day operations of our Ready-Mix Concrete plant in Erode. You will oversee production, quality, dispatches, and team to ensure timely supply of RMC as per IS standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. RMC Plant Operations
- Manage entire RMC batching plant operations from order to dispatch
- Plan daily production schedule based on site requirements
- Monitor batching, mixing time, and slump to ensure consistent quality
- Coordinate with pump operators, transit mixer drivers, and site engineers
2. Quality Control
- Check raw material quality: cement, aggregates, admixtures, water
- Conduct slump test, cube test, and maintain QC records
- Troubleshoot mix design issues and adjust proportions with QC team
3. Team & Maintenance
- Supervise plant operators, helpers, lab technicians, and drivers
- Ensure preventive maintenance of batching plant, conveyors, and TMs
- Monitor fuel, spare parts, and inventory of raw materials
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain production log, dispatch slips, cube test reports, calibration records
- Ensure statutory compliance: TNPCB, Factory Act, weights & measures
- Control wastage, manage breakdowns, and optimize plant efficiency
- Technical Knowledge:
1. Ready Mix Concrete: Batching plant operation, mix design basics, TM logistics
2. Quality Control: IS codes, cube testing, slump, raw material testing, NABL lab coordination
- Other Skills: Team handling, vendor coordination, basic Excel, Tamil & Hindi speaking
- Must Have: Exposure to computerized batching systems like Schwing/Stetter/Apollo
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
