About the role
We are a plastic waste management company looking for skilled candidates who can physically identify and segregate different types of plastic polymers. You will play a key role in ensuring correct separation of materials for recycling and processing. This is a hands-on production floor role.
Key responsibilities
- Physically identify and segregate plastic materials by polymer type: PP, ABS, PC, Nylon (PA), HDPE, LDPE, PS.
- Use physical identification methods including burn test, float/sink test, visual inspection, and hardness check
- Sort incoming plastic scrap/waste by grade and resin type
- Maintain segregation records and daily material logs
- Keep work area clean and follow safety procedures
- Report contaminated or unidentified material to supervisor
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in plastic manufacturing, injection molding, extrusion, or plastic recycling
- Hands-on knowledge of identifying polymers physically (PP, ABS, PC, Nylon, HDPE, LDPE, PS)
Preferred background
- Worked in plastic injection molding, extrusion, or compounding units
- Experience in plastic scrap trading or grading
- Knowledge of plastic resin grades and MFI (melt flow index)
- Exposure to quality checking or incoming material inspection in plastic factories
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
