Key Responsibilities:
- Order Delivery: Transporting food orders from the kitchen to the correct guest tables, often using large trays, while ensuring the food is hot and fresh.
- Accuracy & Quality Check: Inspecting dishes for accuracy against tickets, including checking for correct garnishes, special requests, and allergen considerations before serving.
- Table Service Support: Assisting servers by delivering beverages, refilling drinks, and clearing dirty dishes (bussing) to help turn tables efficiently.
- Communication & Expo: Acting as the liaison between chefs and servers, communicating food order status and addressing any customer issues.
- Station Maintenance: Keeping service stations stocked with necessary cutlery, plates, and condiments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays (up to 30-40 lbs).
- Fast-Paced Efficiency: Thriving in high-pressure environments, often during busy, high-volume shifts.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and communicating with kitchen staff.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring orders are perfect to maintain quality control.
- Menu Knowledge: Familiarity with the menu to answer basic customer questions.
