Job description:
Job Title: Estimation Engineer (Steel Industry)
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimation & Quotation
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates for fabrication projects.
- Perform accurate cost calculations covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Prepare competitive, technically sound proposals and client quotations.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to validate cost assumptions.
2. Project & Design Coordination
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to understand project scope and technical requirements.
- Provide inputs on design feasibility, material optimization, and cost-effective fabrication methods.
- Identify risks, challenges, and value engineering opportunities during the estimation phase.
3. Vendor & Material Management
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and accurate material specifications.
- Stay updated on market trends related to material costs, labor rates, and fabrication techniques.
- Ensure estimates align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed estimation reports, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and supporting documents.
- Maintain historical data, templates, and estimation records for future reference.
- Monitor project cost performance against estimates and provide insights for improvement.
5. Process Improvement & Compliance
- Contribute to standardizing estimation procedures, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
- Support management with data-driven cost analysis for strategic decisions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in estimation, preferably in the steel/fabrication industry.
- Experience working in or closely with production departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in cost analysis.
- Proficiency in estimation tools and software.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
