Job Description – Merchant (Furniture Export & Domestic)
Location: Ratangarh, Rajasthan (On-Site)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end merchandising, export, and domestic order operations.
- Handle product development, sampling, costing, and production planning as per buyer requirements.
- Coordinate with domestic and international buyers for approvals, updates, and smooth order execution.
- Ensure timely order processing, dispatch planning, and shipment execution.
- Manage ERP entries, sales orders, documentation, and order tracking.
- Prepare and handle export & domestic documentation including Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipping Bills, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, BRC, bank submissions, and export incentive documentation.
- Coordinate with CHA, shipping lines, freight forwarders, transporters, and warehouses for smooth logistics operations.
- Monitor shipment schedules, freight costs, delivery timelines, and shipment status updates.
- Ensure compliance with Vriksh Certification, EUDR, CARB, BIS, social compliance audits, and buyer-specific requirements.
- Verify container loading, stuffing, packaging standards, and dispatch accuracy.
- Maintain Time & Action (TNA) plans, MIS reports, shipment records, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate closely with production, accounts, dispatch, and export teams for seamless execution.
- Support audits, record maintenance, and compliance procedures.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience.
- Experience in furniture manufacturing/export industry preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing processes, raw materials, wood species, metals, finishes, and accessories.
- Knowledge of export documentation, logistics operations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office.
- Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and coordinate across departments effectively.
