Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Accounts Manager to oversee and manage all accounting and financial functions at Travanco. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in finance, with a strong focus on accounts management in a microfinance or NBFC environment.
The Finance and Accounts Manager will lead the accounts team, ensure financial accuracy, maintain regulatory compliance, and support strategic financial decision-making to strengthen the organization’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Monitor accounting operations and maintain strong internal controls.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the accounts team for smooth daily operations.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare and monitor budgets and financial forecasts.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity effectively.
- Provide financial insights to support management decisions.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and NBFC guidelines.
- Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and government bodies.
Financial Analysis & Strategy
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Recommend cost optimization, profitability improvement, and investment strategies.
Stakeholder Communication
- Collaborate with senior management and internal teams.
- Present financial reports and insights to leadership and stakeholders.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Improve accounting systems, processes, and controls.
- Implement best practices and leverage technology for efficiency.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in finance/accounting.
- Experience in microfinance or NBFC sector preferred.
- Strong exposure to financial reporting, compliance, and audits.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Up to ₹60,000 per month
