Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Physics to Senior Secondary students (Classes XI & XII) as per CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual lesson plans, unit plans, and daily teaching schedules.
- Deliver engaging and interactive classroom sessions using modern teaching methodologies.
- Ensure effective completion of syllabus within the prescribed timeline.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and laboratory activities safely and effectively.
- Integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom instruction.
- Guide students for board examinations and competitive examinations wherever applicable.
Student Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare question papers, assignments, worksheets, and project work.
- Conduct periodic assessments, practical examinations, and evaluations.
- Analyze student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify slow learners and gifted students and provide appropriate academic support.
- Maintain student academic records and assessment data.
Student Development
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and scientific inquiry among students.
- Mentor students regarding academic and career aspirations related to science streams.
- Promote discipline, punctuality, and positive classroom behavior.
- Participate in remedial and enrichment programs.
Laboratory Management
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of Physics laboratory equipment.
- Follow safety procedures during practical sessions.
- Coordinate with laboratory assistants for practical preparations.
- Maintain laboratory records and stock registers.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance records, lesson plans, and academic documentation.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school functions.
- Support examination-related activities and CBSE compliance requirements.
- Contribute to school committees, events, and co-curricular activities as assigned.
Professional Development
- Participate in training programs, workshops, and professional development initiatives.
- Stay updated with CBSE guidelines, pedagogy, and advancements in Physics education.
- Share best teaching practices with colleagues.
Qualification & ExperienceEssential Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Physics from a recognized University.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of CBSE curriculum.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in a reputed CBSE/ICSE school.
- Experience in teaching Classes XI & XII Physics is preferred.
- Experience in conducting practicals and preparing students for Board Examinations.
