Job Responsibilities:
Job Summary
We are looking for a Purchase Engineer with 2+ years of experience in end-to-end procurement activities. The candidate should have strong knowledge of vendor management, sourcing, negotiation, procurement planning, and quality management systems. Experience in ISO and API standards-based organizations will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete purchase cycle from requisition to delivery.
- Source and develop new vendors for mechanical, electrical, and industrial products.
- Obtain quotations, conduct commercial evaluations, and negotiate prices.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order execution.
- Coordinate with production, quality, stores, and finance departments.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
- Maintain procurement records and documentation as per QMS requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and API Q1 requirements.
- Conduct vendor assessments and support vendor qualification activities.
- Track inventory requirements and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, delivery, and commercial terms.
Required Skills
- End-to-end procurement and supply chain knowledge.
- Vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
