Job Summary
Hotel Ganga is seeking energetic, courteous, and customer-focused Waiters and Waitresses to provide excellent food and beverage service to guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of hospitality and cleanliness.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
- Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables when required.
- Present menus and provide information about dishes, beverages, and daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any requests.
Restaurant Operations
- Prepare and set up tables before service.
- Ensure tables are clean, properly arranged, and fully stocked.
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
Order & Billing Management
- Ensure all guest orders are entered accurately into the POS system.
- Verify orders before serving to ensure accuracy.
- Present bills to guests and assist with payment procedures when required.
- Handle guest queries regarding bills professionally.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Assist colleagues during busy periods to maintain smooth operations.
- Participate in daily briefings and training sessions.
Hygiene & Safety
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Maintain personal grooming and professional appearance.
- Adhere to hotel safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Higher Secondary (Plus Two) or equivalent qualification.
- Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality is an advantage.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hotel service is preferred but not mandatory.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, polite, and customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic English communication skills; Malayalam is essential. Knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage.
