We are seeking a dedicated and competent TGT Social Science teacher to teach students at the Middle and Secondary levels (up to Class X). The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and Civics, along with the ability to make learning interactive, engaging, and relevant to real-life situations. The teacher will play a vital role in developing students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and awareness of social, cultural, and global issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science effectively at the Middle and Secondary level as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons using innovative teaching methods, maps, charts, digital tools, and project-based learning strategies.
- Assess, record, and monitor students’ academic progress through regular assignments, projects, class tests, and examinations.
- Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and civic responsibility by encouraging discussions, debates, and inquiry-based learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports active participation and collaborative learning.
- Provide academic guidance and timely feedback to students and maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in school activities, examinations, meetings, educational excursions, and professional development programmes.
- Follow school policies, academic guidelines, and child safety norms while maintaining discipline and a positive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Social Science, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a recognized school is preferred.
