Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and personable Wedding Planner to coordinate and execute memorable weddings and related events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills, with a passion for creating beautiful and seamless celebrations. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their vision, managing vendors, and ensuring every detail is flawlessly executed to deliver an exceptional experience for couples and their guests.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their wedding vision, preferences, and budget constraints
- Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists to ensure smooth execution
- Coordinate with vendors such as caterers, florists, photographers, entertainment, and venue staff
- Manage guest lists, seating arrangements, and RSVP tracking
- Assist with marketing efforts to attract new clients through social media, website content, and networking events
- Conduct site visits and oversee setup and breakdown of wedding venues
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly
- Upsell additional services or upgrades to enhance the wedding experience
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the planning process to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
- Manage budgets effectively, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial plans
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel industries is preferred; experience in event planning or wedding coordination is a plus
- Strong marketing skills to promote services and attract new clients
- Excellent guest services skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining client trust
- Effective negotiation skills for vendor contracts and service agreements
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members
- Superior organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong time management abilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Budgeting experience to manage costs efficiently without compromising quality
- Experience in restaurant or hotel settings is advantageous but not required; a passion for event planning is essential
