Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the office premises. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, electrical safety, and compliance with statutory regulations to support smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair office electrical systems, wiring, switches, sockets, lighting, and panels
- Conduct routine inspections to identify electrical faults and safety hazards
- Troubleshoot and fix electrical breakdowns with minimal disruption to office work
- Maintain UPS, generators, inverters, and emergency power systems
- Ensure proper functioning of air conditioning electrical connections and office equipment
- Replace faulty components such as circuit breakers, fuses, and wiring
- Maintain records of electrical maintenance and repair work
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and local regulations
- Coordinate with external vendors or contractors when required
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of office electrical systems and safety procedures
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Time management and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of energy efficiency and load management
- Good communication and coordination skills
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Valid electrician license (as per local regulations)
- 2–5 years of experience in office, commercial, or corporate electrical maintenance
