Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) / Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field may also be considered with relevant hospital pharmacy purchase experience.
Experience
- 5 - 6 years of experience in pharmacy purchase, preferably in a NABH-accredited hospital.
- Knowledge of hospital inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure medicines, surgical consumables, medical gases, and pharmacy supplies as per approved purchase requisitions.
- Obtain quotations from approved vendors and negotiate the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Verify purchased items against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
- Ensure procurement only from authorized and licensed pharmaceutical suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder medicines to avoid stock-outs and overstocking.
- Track expiry dates and coordinate with vendors for replacement/return of near-expiry products.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor files, contracts, quotations, and invoices.
- Coordinate with the pharmacy store for receipt, inspection, and storage of materials.
- Resolve discrepancies related to quantity, quality, pricing, or damaged supplies.
- Prepare monthly purchase reports, vendor performance reports, and cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, Drugs and Cosmetics Act, GST requirements, and hospital procurement policies.
- Participate in annual stock verification and inventory audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of pricing, vendor information, and hospital procurement data.
- Support emergency procurement during shortages or critical situations.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
