Job Responsibilities:
The Service Engineer primary responsibility is for the technical/Commercial achievement of the project goals. The Service Engineer is accountable to the Team Lead and Project Manager.
- Configuration and Execution of complete SCADA system and other delivered sub-system mainly Video Management system, RAS, AFAS, Sub-station BCU,SICAM PAS, Corporate Data ware housing (CDWH),Transformer Monitoring System (TMS)
- Interact with customer approvals, testing, open point closure and maintenance.
- Travel to remote sites for support.
- Proactive approach in resolving any issue related to SCADA.
- Escalates Risks, Issues and Changes to the Project Team Lead and Project Manager
- Resolves technical disputes and makes tradeoffs
- Timely Invoicing and billing activities.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science / ECE/ Electrical Engineering/ IT- Two to Five years SCADA system experience along with co-ordination with different vendors for resolving issues.
- Having in-depth knowledge SCADA systems. RTU,BCU.RAS,AFAS,VMS,CDWH,TMS for Electrical utilities.
- In-Depth working knowledge in RTU integration on IEC101, IEC104, DNP3 serial, DNP3i and MODBUS.
- In-Depth working knowledge in ICCP integration with secure protocol.
- Having executed Factory and Site acceptance testing with customers.
- Having RH Linux OS basic knowledge
- Having Oracle and SQL knowledge to extract and modify data in database.
- Having knowledge of reporting tools like Jasper, Crystal Reports and MS Excel.
- Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. May resolve problems within established practices
- Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends
- Take ownership at site & coordination with customer in daily basis
- Reporting and tracking of issues reported and updating Project Manager
- Timely raising invoices and follow up for clearance of same and timely release of cash.
