About the Role
Pisteyo is growing, and the team behind that growth needs a builder. We are looking for an HR Generalist whose primary focus is recruitment across our US and India operations, with broader people operations responsibilities as the function matures. You will own the hiring engine end to end, from sourcing strong candidates to closing them, and help us scale a workforce that delivers measurable client outcomes.
What You Will Do
Recruitment (primary focus, ~70%)
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and consulting roles across the US and India.
- Build and run sourcing strategies on LinkedIn, job boards, referral networks, and direct outreach.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, screening rubrics, and interview loops.
- Conduct first-round screens and coordinate panel interviews across time zones.
- Manage the candidate experience from first touch to offer acceptance.
- Track funnel metrics (time to hire, source quality, conversion rates) and report to leadership.
- Negotiate offers, handle reference checks, and close hires.
HR Generalist (secondary, ~30%)
- Support onboarding for new hires in both regions.
- Maintain employee records, contracts, and basic compliance for US and India entities.
- Help administer benefits, PTO tracking, and routine employee questions.
- Support performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate with external payroll and compliance partners as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- 4 to 7 years of HR or recruiting experience, with at least 2 years owning full-cycle technical recruitment.
- Direct experience hiring across US and India markets, including familiarity with both labor frameworks.
- Strong sourcing instincts. You can find candidates who are not actively looking.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Comfortable working asynchronously and overlapping at least 4 hours with US Eastern or Pacific time.
- Experience with an ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, or similar) and standard sourcing tools.
- Calm, organized, and candidate-first. You treat hiring like a craft, not a checklist.
Nice to Have
- Experience hiring for consulting, AI, or technology services firms.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Business Central, Magento, or Stripe ecosystems (helpful for screening technical candidates).
- Prior experience setting up or scaling an HR function at a growing firm.
- Working knowledge of US contractor vs. employee classifications and India statutory compliance basics.
