- 2–8 years of experience in maintenance of Plastic Injection Moulding Machines and Auxiliary Equipment.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to support the maintenance and smooth operation of plastic injection moulding machines and related auxiliary equipment. The candidate will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure maximum machine uptime and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Injection Moulding Machine Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in heaters, sensors, motors, PLCs, HMIs, drives, and control panels.
- Repair and replace faulty electrical components, wiring, and fittings.
- Ensure machine availability and reliability as per production requirements.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
2. Auxiliary Equipment Maintenance
Maintain and troubleshoot:
- Hopper Dryers
- Dehumidifiers
- Auto Loaders / Central Feeding Systems (CFS)
- Chillers
- Cooling Towers
- Air Compressors
- Mold Temperature Controllers (MTC)
- Robots, EOATs, and Conveyor Systems
3. Electrical System Management
- Monitor and maintain LT Panels, MCC Panels, and power distribution systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical protection devices such as MCBs, MCCBs, Contactors, Relays, and Overload Protection Systems.
- Perform cable termination, electrical wiring, and panel modifications as required.
- Maintain electrical safety standards and compliance.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance records.
- Update machine maintenance history cards and electrical drawings.
- Record spare parts consumption and raise requirements for critical spares.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Drives, Sensors, and Temperature Controllers.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting Plastic Injection Moulding Machines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
