Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Plating Supervisor to oversee daily electroplating and surface treatment operations. The ideal candidate will manage shop-floor operators, monitor chemical bath parameters (Nickel, Zinc, Brass, Anodizing), enforce strict quality control, and ensure efficient, safe production workflows. candidates must have hands-on experience in electroplating or chemical surface finishing lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Shop-Floor Supervision: Lead, train, and assign daily shift tasks to plating operators and line technicians.
- Chemical Bath & Process Control: Monitor bath chemistry, pH levels, temperature, current density, and chemical dosing to maintain coating quality.
- Quality Assurance & Defect Analysis: Inspect finished parts, troubleshoot plating defects (peeling, thickness variation, discoloration), and implement root-cause corrective actions.
- Maintenance & Operations: Oversee line loading, jig/fixture optimization, and coordinate preventive maintenance for tanks, rectifiers, and plating machinery.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce shop-floor safety, chemical handling norms, 5S standards, and basic documentation compliance (ISO standards).
- Production Records: Track output, rejection rates, downtime, and log chemical consumption metrics daily
Requirements & Skills
- Education: Diploma, ITI, or B.Sc/B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or relevant technical field.
- Experience: 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial electroplating, surface treatment, or metal finishing lines, with prior supervisory experience.
- Technical Expertise: Direct knowledge of Nickel, Zinc, Brass plating, Anodizing, bath titration, and defect analysis.
- Soft Skills: Strong shop-floor leadership, shift planning, team coordination, and basic computer reporting skills.
