Designation: Business Sales Manager

Position description:
To drive sales growth in the government sector by managing institutional accounts, securing project approvals, participating in tenders, and building strong relationships with government departments, PSUs, and contractors for wire and cable products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales and collection targets from government departments and PSUs.
- Track and convert government tenders and rate contracts.
- Track ongoing and upcoming government projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams for timely delivery and execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government bodies, utilities, and EPC contractors.
- Ensure brand preference and product approvals
- Conduct product presentations, technical seminars, and awareness programs for government stakeholders.
- Participate in government exhibitions and trade shows.
Authorities:
- Approve pricing within delegated authority.
- Recommend participation in tenders and rate contracts.
- Prioritize project-based orders.
- Escalate supply chain issues affecting project timelines.
- Represent the company in client meetings and technical discussions.
- Escalate high-value opportunities to leadership.
- Approve event participation and content.
- Coordinate with marketing for promotional materials.

Educational qualifications preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Required work experienc
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in B2B or institutional sales.
Required Competencies:
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tender portals (e.g., GeM, CPPP), and public sector buying behavior.
- Familiarity with wire and cable products, specifications, and applications in government projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
