The IP Patient Relation Executive is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and service to admitted patients and their attendants throughout the hospitalization period. The role acts as a liaison between patients, doctors, nursing, billing, diagnostics, pharmacy, housekeeping, and other support departments to ensure a smooth patient journey, timely service delivery, and high patient satisfaction.
- Welcome newly admitted patients and their attendants and provide room orientation.
- Explain hospital facilities, patient rights, visiting hours, discharge process, and available services.
- Conduct regular patient rounds to identify service gaps and patient concerns.
- Coordinate with nursing, consultants, diagnostics, pharmacy, housekeeping, dietary, transport, and billing departments to ensure timely patient care.
- Facilitate diagnostic appointments, procedures, and specialist consultations.
- Assist patients and attendants with hospital processes and documentation.
- Coordinate preparation of discharge summaries and ensure timely completion of discharge formalities.
- Monitor discharge Turnaround Time (TAT) and escalate delays appropriately.
- Ensure all departmental clearances are completed before discharge.
- Handle patient complaints courteously and ensure prompt resolution.
- Collect patient feedback and report recurring issues to management.
- Maintain daily records of patient interactions, grievances, and service recovery actions.
- Support implementation of patient satisfaction initiatives and quality improvement programs.
- Coordinate VIP patient care and special service requests.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families whenever required.
- Coordinate cross-referrals and consultant visits as requested.
- Assist during emergencies and support hospital operational requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Any Discipline.
- BHA/BBA (Hospital Management), MHA, or Hospital Administration qualification is preferred.
