The quality of school education available to students from low-income communities across India is abysmal. Their chances of attending college, or building a career are significantly lower than their high-income peers, condemning them to a life without voice or choice. iTeach was born in 2015 to challenge this status quo and create a level playing field for ALL children.

Role Summary
The Curriculum and Training Manager will lead the research and development of our iTeach School’s Curriculum, the design and execution of the staff development programs, and the strategic expansion of our impact on other key ecosystem stakeholders. They will deliver on these priorities through a team of two to three members. Given that iTeach Schools is a young start-up, we are looking for people who will be eager to design and create the most effective systems and processes, combining researched best practices with their own contextual innovation.
Responsibilities
Curriculum Design

Develop and strengthen a research-based, contextual curriculum that builds the necessary skill, mindsets, and knowledge in students to meet the iTeach Schools’ student vision (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Jd60izSmWc).

Innovate and integrate blended learning, socio-emotional learning, and social justice principles across content areas.
Assessment Design

Set strong benchmarks of learning in each content area through designing/improving assessment frameworks and blueprints for Formative and Summative assessments.

Source/design strong data collection tools that decode student learning and achievement in an easy-to-use manner.

Regularly communicate analysis of student outcomes with the school teams to inform instruction.
Staff Development

Lead the All Staff Induction team to deliver a high-impact beginning-of-year boot camp for all staff.

Deliver and strengthen the design and implementation of the New Teacher Training Program (NTTP).

Lead the New Manager PD program by designing objectives, sourcing facilitators and ensuring effective execution of the workshops.

Ensure effective Monitoring and Evaluation by creating strong systems to collect & analyze the output data and feeding the learning back to the curriculum, training & school programs.

Continuously identify exposure or developmental opportunities that exist outside our system and make them accessible to the teachers.

Design and execute programs to serve other constituents in need for Professional Development (eg: PMC teachers, Teach For India Fellows in secondary private schools, B Ed students, etc).
Prerequisites

Required: Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree with exceptional performance as a teacher for 2+ years

Required: 5+ years of experience with various pedagogical approaches and a sense of what works where.

Required: Formal team management experience with a team of 4-5 members, and demonstrated ability to work across an organization.
Compensation and Benefits: Compensation and Benefits: We take pride in offering competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with the candidate's education and work experience. The salary range for this position ranges from 8.7 - 10 LPA CTC, and we are dedicated to providing top-notch industry benefits.
