Roles & ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Management
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records in the accounting software.
- Record and verify all receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements on a regular basis.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of ledgers and books of accounts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Return, and other applicable returns).
- Reconcile GST input tax credit with GSTR-2B and vendor records.
- Ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS as per Income Tax Act.
- Prepare and file TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.).
- Issue TDS certificates to vendors and employees.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants for income tax filings and statutory audits.
- Maintain compliance with Income Tax, GST, Professional Tax (where applicable), and other statutory regulations.
- Respond to notices or queries from taxation authorities in consultation with management and the Chartered Accountant.
- Maintain proper documentation of all statutory records and tax-related documents.
Payroll & Employee Compliance
- Assist in payroll processing from the taxation and compliance perspective.
- Ensure proper deduction of TDS on salaries.
- Verify employee declarations and investment proofs for income tax purposes.
- Coordinate with the HR department for payroll reconciliation.
Audit & Compliance
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Assist during financial inspections and government audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
Vendor & Financial Coordination
- Verify vendor invoices and ensure tax compliance before processing payments.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with banks regarding financial transactions and statutory payments.
- Maintain vendor tax records and compliance documents.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
- Generate financial analysis reports related to taxation, expenses, and cash flow.
- Provide periodic reports on statutory compliance status.
- Assist management with financial data for strategic decision-making.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure confidentiality of financial and payroll information.
- Stay updated with changes in GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with all school branches for finance and taxation-related matters.
- Support implementation and improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
- Perform any additional finance or compliance responsibilities assigned by management.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime or other accounting software.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial MIS reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to meet statutory deadlines and work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or relevant taxation certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounts and taxation, preferably in an educational institution or service organization.
Pay: ₹10,681.40 - ₹20,000.00 per month
