Executive Summary
- Role: Plant Quality Head

Role Purpose
The Plant Quality Head will lead, define, and enforce quality assurance and control systems. This role ensures all chrome bars meet strict international standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will be fully accountable for customer quality interface, possessing exceptional skills in managing customer relationships and leading audits. Additionally, the role demands a proactive leader to manage supplier quality, monitor plant quality daily, train inspectors, and eliminate non-conformities through systematic preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Quality Monitoring & NC Reduction (Daily Focus)
- Monitor and track plant quality issues on a daily basis, establishing a rigorous, metrics-driven review system.
- Drive the continuous reduction of Non-Conformities (NCs) across all manufacturing stages, measuring progress daily.
- Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for any internal or external quality deviations using structured methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D).
- Implement robust Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure plant quality issues are permanently resolved and do not recur.
Customer Quality, Audit Management & Mobility
- Serve as the primary, authoritative contact for all domestic and international customer quality interfaces.
- Lead, host, and successfully clear all customer quality audits, ensuring full compliance with OEM and tier-1 supplier standards.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to resolve critical quality issues, build technical relationships, or support new product qualifications.
- Drive swift resolution of customer complaints by implementing robust CAPA and ensuring transparent communication.
Supplier Quality & Validation Process
- Establish and execute a robust Supplier Validation Process to audit and qualify new and existing suppliers (raw materials, plating chemicals, tooling).
- Conduct regular quality audits at supplier facilities to evaluate their technical capabilities, process controls, and compliance.
- Travel to supplier sites for troubleshooting, source inspection, and to drive corrective actions for any incoming material defects.
Inspector Training & Capability Building
- Design and execute continuous training programs for plant quality inspectors and lab technicians.
- Upgrade the skills of inspectors on advanced measurement tools, chrome plating defects identification, and drawing interpretations.
- Standardize inspection methods to eliminate human error and variation on the shop floor.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Maintain quality certifications such as ISO 9001and ISO 14001.
- Oversee testing protocols for surface finish, plating thickness, hardness, and straightness.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
