Job Description: Furniture Production Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Furniture Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. This role is perfect for a professional with a solid technical foundation in both modular systems and traditional carpentry, looking to take the next step in their leadership career.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design concepts and finished products, ensuring that every piece—from mass-produced modular cabinets to bespoke wooden furniture—meets our high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Develop and manage daily production schedules to ensure timely delivery of both modular and handcrafted projects.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of carpenters, machine operators, and assemblers, fostering a culture of safety and precision.
- Quality Control: Conduct rigorous inspections at various stages of production to maintain finishes, structural integrity, and hardware functionality.
- Material Management: Oversee inventory levels for wood, boards, hardware, and adhesives. Minimize wastage through efficient cutting lists and nesting.
- Technical Oversight: Interpret 2D/3D technical drawings and ensure the production floor follows exact specifications for joinery and modular boring patterns.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the workshop and implement streamlined workflows to improve output without compromising craft.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a furniture manufacturing environment.
- Technical Expertise: * Strong knowledge of Modular Furniture (Panel processing, edge-banding, KD fittings, and CNC operations).
- Solid understanding of Carpentry (Solid wood species, joinery techniques, veneers, and manual wood-working tools).
- Software: Proficiency in MS Excel for scheduling; familiarity with AutoCAD or production software (like WoodWOP or Cabinet Vision) is a major plus.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues and resolve design-to-production discrepancies on the fly.
- Education: A degree or diploma in Wood Technology, Interior Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Pay: ₹20,324.38 - ₹30,016.40 per month
