Job Purpose - Experience Worked in Two Shifts
To monitor and control product quality during the manufacturing process by conducting in-process inspections, identifying deviations, ensuring adherence to drawings and quality standards, and coordinating with Production to prevent defects and rework.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process inspection of components manufactured through CNC, VMC, HMC, VTL, Grinding and other machining processes.
- Inspect components at defined stages according to inspection plans, control plans and engineering drawings.
- Verify critical dimensions using:
- Vernier Caliper
- Outside / Inside Micrometer
- Bore Gauge
- Height Gauge
- Dial Gauge
- Depth Gauge
- Thread Gauges
- Plug & Ring Gauges
- Other precision measuring instruments
- Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T symbols and datum requirements.
- Ensure components are produced within specified dimensional and geometric tolerances.
- Perform first-piece inspection and provide clearance before mass production.
- Conduct periodic inspections during production to ensure consistent quality.
- Identify process deviations, dimensional variations, tool wear and machining defects.
- Immediately communicate quality issues to the Production / Machine Shop team.
- Stop or hold production when critical quality deviations are identified, as per company procedures.
- Prepare and maintain in-process inspection reports and quality records.
- Monitor rejection, rework and scrap and assist in identifying their root causes.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis, CAPA and corrective/preventive actions.
- Support 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis and basic problem-solving activities.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
