About the role
We are looking for a careful, dependable intern to research locations, update our internal knowledge platform, and test its functionality and ease of use.
This role suits someone who enjoys investigating information, organising details, and spotting things that are missing, confusing, or broken. Your work will directly support our research and help improve the platform alongside the founder and developer.
Key responsibilities
- Research countries, cities, and localities using assigned topics and templates, covering property markets, ownership rules, infrastructure, connectivity, and lifestyle.
- Find information from government websites, official authorities, and credible publications. Write clear summaries and record source links and relevant dates.
- Enter and update information accurately. Check names, figures, currencies, and units; flag missing, outdated, duplicate, or conflicting information.
- Test workflows across the admin panel, including the Library, Reports, forms, uploads, search, filters, editing, saving, and retrieving records.
- Identify confusing labels, unclear instructions, unnecessary steps, and missing confirmation or error messages. Suggest practical improvements.
- Check that reports generate and download correctly, include the selected information, and display without missing sections, broken tables, or overlapping text.
- Document issues with screenshots, steps to reproduce, and expected versus actual results. Maintain an issue tracker and retest fixes.
- Join scheduled screen-sharing sessions and coordinate during agreed working hours to investigate issues and verify fixes promptly.
Required skills and qualifications
- Strong online research skills and the ability to assess source credibility.
- Clear written English and the ability to summarise information accurately.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Attention to detail, logical thinking, and careful observation.
- Ability to follow testing checklists and explain problems clearly.
- Dependable follow-through, timely communication, and comfort with repetitive checks.
- Access to a laptop or desktop, reliable internet, and availability for live collaboration.
Students and recent graduates from any discipline may apply. Previous experience in research, data management, or manual software testing is helpful but not mandatory.
AI tools may assist your work, but information must be checked against original sources before submission.
Role boundaries
This internship covers research collection, data accuracy, functional testing, and usability feedback. Coding and fixing software errors are not required. An experienced reviewer will assess legal or tax interpretations, research conclusions, advisory recommendations, and the substantive quality of reports.
