Stichwell Exports Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a creative and technically skilled Leather Goods Designer with hands-on experience in designing and developing Leather Bags, Wallets, Card Holders, Travel Accessories, and Small Leather Goods (SLG).
IMPORTANT: STRONG CAD KNOWLEDGE IS MANDATORY FOR THIS POSITION.
The ideal candidate should be able to convert product ideas into professional CAD drawings, technical designs, product specifications, and development details, along with having a strong understanding of leather materials, construction, fittings, and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Leather Bags, Wallets, Card Holders, Travel Accessories, and SLG.
- Create new product concepts based on buyer requirements, market trends, and seasonal developments.
- Prepare CAD drawings, technical sketches, design layouts, and product development sheets.
- Create and modify designs as per buyer comments and development requirements.
- Prepare clear product specifications and technical details for sampling and production.
- Select suitable leather, linings, fittings, hardware, zippers, and trims.
- Work closely with Pattern Masters, Sample Department, Merchandising, and Production teams.
- Support product development from initial concept through sample development and final approval.
- Research international trends, colours, materials, constructions, and new product ideas.
- Develop attractive, commercially viable, and production-friendly products.
Mandatory Skills & Knowledge:
✔ Strong CAD knowledge is compulsory
✔ Ability to create professional CAD drawings and technical product designs
✔ Knowledge of CorelDRAW / Adobe Illustrator / AutoCAD or similar CAD/design software
✔ Strong knowledge of Leather Bags & Wallet construction
✔ Understanding of leather types, thickness, linings, fittings, hardware, zippers, and finishing
✔ Experience in leather product development and sampling
✔ Ability to convert creative ideas into practical and production-ready designs
✔ Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail
✔ Good communication and coordination skills

Please Note:
CAD knowledge and practical experience in CAD/design software are mandatory. Candidates without CAD knowledge will not be suitable for this position.
Preference will be given to candidates who can independently create CAD designs, technical drawings, product specifications, and development sheets for leather products.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Leather Bags, Wallets, SLG, or Leather Accessories Design.
- Experience in a Leather Export House will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with a strong portfolio of CAD-based leather product designs will be preferred.
