Job Description: Technical Trainer (Placement-Oriented)
Brief Job Description
SIMATS Engineering Institutions are seeking a highly skilled and placement-driven Technical Trainer to train engineering students with industry-relevant technical, problem-solving, and interview skills, enabling them to secure placements in top MNC companies. The role demands a strong focus on hands-on training, aptitude building, coding proficiency, and real-world project exposure aligned with current recruitment standards of leading multinational organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Placement-Focused Training
- Train final-year and pre-final-year students to meet technical hiring standards of top MNCs
- Deliver coding, core technical, and tool-based training aligned with industry expectations
- Conduct mock technical interviews, coding tests, and assessments
- Prepare students for product-based and service-based company recruitment processes
- Mentor students in resume building, GitHub portfolios, and project demonstrations
Technical & Skill Development
- Provide hands-on training in industry-demanded tools and technologies
- Guide students in mini-projects, capstone projects, and real-world use cases
- Improve students’ logical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Evaluation & Reporting
- Track student performance, readiness levels, and placement progress
- Coordinate with placement and academic teams to improve training outcomes
- Maintain training reports and student assessment records
Required Technical Skills
- Programming: Python / Java / C / C++
- Core CS: Data Structures, Algorithms, OOPs
- Engineering Tools (if applicable): AutoCAD / Fusion 360 / SolidWorks
- Databases: MySQL / MongoDB
- Basics of Cloud, AI/ML, or DevOps (added advantage)
- Version control: Git / GitHub
Placement Skill Expectations
- Strong understanding of MNC hiring patterns
- Ability to train students for:
- Aptitude & logical reasoning tests
- Coding rounds (HackerRank / LeetCode style)
- Technical HR and managerial interviews
- Familiarity with campus placement drives and assessment platforms
Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech / MCA / M.Sc (CS/IT or relevant Engineering discipline)
- Industry or placement-training experience preferred
- Proven track record of student placement success is a strong advantage
