Never worked in e-commerce before? No problem. We don't care about years of traditional accounting experience. What we do care about is strong basic accounting logic, high IQ, comfort with numbers, working knowledge of Tally Prime, and an eagerness to learn. If you have the right mindset, we will train you on our specific tools and workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Handle, clean, and reconcile high-volume sales, returns, and payment gateway data using Excel/Google Sheets.
- Import integrated cloud data into Tally Prime and ensure ledger entries match accurately.
- Identify discrepancies across datasets and track inventory/stock movements.
- Assist in day-to-day accounts maintenance and basic compliance.
Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)
- Solid Accounting Basics: Clear understanding of debit/credit rules, balance sheets, and inventory principles (B.Com, M.Com, or CA Inter).
- Spreadsheet Comfort: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, filters).
- AI & Tech-Savvy (A Major Plus!): Exposure to or an inclination to use AI tools like Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT to write formulas, automate quick tasks, or solve logical data problems.
- Tally Knowledge: Good knowledge and familiarity with Tally Prime.
- Sharp & Analytical: High attention to detail with a knack for spotting numeric errors in large reports.
Location & Work Hours
- Location: Must be based in Chennai and preferably live within a 30-minute daily commute to our Adyar office.
- Full-Time: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Part-Time: 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM OR 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Pro-rata pay)
- Work-Life Balance: We strictly respect work hours—we never have delayed or extended office hours.
- (Note: This is a strictly in-office role; there is no WFH option).
