The Systems Administrator is a critical member of the Unified Collaboration IT Team, responsible for supporting and maintaining the Office 365 environment with a focus on SharePoint and OneDrive. This position involves active collaboration with cross-functional IT teams to deliver comprehensive global support for the Resideo corporate Microsoft Office 365 tenant. The role requires strong self-motivation, advanced critical thinking, and proactive problem-solving skills directed toward optimizing end-user experiences. By partnering with network, security, and IT Service Management teams, the Systems Administrator addresses evolving business needs while ensuring cost efficiency and minimizing operational impact.
Job Duties
- Proficient in Office 365, Active Directory, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, and Azure
- Experienced in Office 365 migration, troubleshooting, system design, and service delivery
- Skilled in the installation, upgrade, configuration, testing, maintenance, and support of software within production environments
- Supports the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for Office 365 products and services
- Collaborates with business units to evaluate and promote adoption of new features associated with Office 365 and related technologies
- Documents ongoing operations and maintain business continuity, including system topology, operating procedures, and disaster recovery protocols
- Manages Office 365 infrastructure parameters and policies
- Demonstrates exemplary communication skills across all organizational levels
- Monitors Office 365 service health and resolves third-level service requests
- Maintains expertise in Office 365 licensing administration
- Supports and sustains operational functions for SharePoint and OneDrive
- Demonstrates proficiency in PowerShell scripting
- Ensures the security and reliability of Office 365 systems and services
- Partners with stakeholders to capture, define, and document business requirements
- Tracks and escalates incidents with Microsoft technical support
- Analyses and reports on Office 365 app metrics
- Mines data in Office 365 to identify trends and usage patterns
- Coordinates resolution of customer satisfaction issues
- Conducts cleanup activities in Office 365 by identifying and removing unused objects
- Assists in departmental Monthly Operation Reporting through automation using Power BI
- Performs incident management responsibilities
- Possesses knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Power BI report creation
You must have
- Minimum of five years’ experience with Office 365
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities across enterprise platforms
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with engineers and managers at all organizational levels
