Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring that all finished boards/panels meet required dimension, finish, and quality standards before dispatch. The role involves measurement, inspection, and machine adjustment (cutter setting) to maintain consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dimension Inspection
Measure thickness using vernier caliper / digital gauge
Check length and width using measuring tape or scale
Verify squareness through diagonal measurement
Ensure all dimensions are within defined tolerance limits
2. Cutter & Machine Adjustment
Adjust cutting machine settings to achieve accurate dimensions
Set stopper/length control for precise cutting
Conduct trial cuts and re-check measurements
Monitor blade condition and ensure clean cutting edges
3. Finished Goods Inspection
Inspect boards for:
Surface defects (bubbles, roughness, marks)
Edge quality (chipping, cracks)
Color and finish consistency (especially for WPC)
Segregate defective products
4. Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure products meet internal standards and customer specifications
Follow SOPs and quality guidelines
Support quality audits and inspections
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily inspection reports
Record rejection, rework, and correction data
Report recurring issues to production team
6. Coordination
Work closely with production, machine operators, and dispatch team
Communicate any quality issues for immediate correction
Skills & Requirements
Basic knowledge of measuring tools (vernier caliper, scale, gauge)
Understanding of production/cutting process
Attention to detail and accuracy
Problem-solving ability on shop floor
Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th / ITI (Diploma preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
