Site Engineer
Position Objective The Site Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day technical oversight and management of construction activities. You will act as the primary link between the design team and the physical execution of the project, ensuring that works are completed safely, on time, and in strict accordance with technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution: Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring all work follows the approved designs, blueprints, and quality standards.
- Setting Out: Responsible for the precise setting out, leveling, and surveying of the site before and during construction.
- Technical Problem Solving: Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and design complications as they arise on-site to prevent project delays.
- Subcontractor Management: Supervise site labor and subcontractors, ensuring productivity and adherence to the project schedule.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the contract requirements and industry standards.
- Safety Oversight: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate site diaries, progress reports, and "as-built" drawings; track material deliveries and equipment usage.
- Liaison: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and local authorities to ensure smooth project flow and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, surveying equipment (Total Station/GPS), and Microsoft Project.
- Experience: 2–5 years of field experience in Residential, Commercial, or Infrastructure projects and 5 star hotel.
- Analytical Ability: Strong mathematical and analytical skills for interpreting complex technical drawings and calculations.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and communicate effectively with diverse groups of workers and stakeholders.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and traverse uneven construction terrain.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or night shifts if the project schedule requires.
