Smileworks Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly organised Logistics Head to oversee and manage our daily logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the field force team, ensuring timely collection and delivery of dental cases, optimising delivery routes, maintaining operational efficiency, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure seamless logistics support for our dental laboratory.
This role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities to ensure exceptional service to our partner clinics and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and manage the daily activities of the field executives and logistics team.
- Plan and optimise daily pickup and delivery schedules to ensure timely movement of dental cases.
- Monitor field staff attendance, productivity, route efficiency, and performance.
- Coordinate with Production, CAD/CAM, Customer Support, and Sales teams to prioritise urgent deliveries.
- Ensure all dental cases are collected and delivered safely while maintaining complete documentation and chain of custody.
- Resolve operational issues, delivery delays, and customer complaints promptly.
- Track daily logistics operations using reports and maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, pending cases, and turnaround times.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate logistics personnel while promoting discipline and accountability.
- Manage vehicle utilisation, maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, and logistics-related expenses.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
- Coordinate manpower allocation based on workload and business requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports for management.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve delivery timelines, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics or operations management, with at least 1 year in a team leadership role.
- Experience in healthcare, dental, medical devices, diagnostics, or laboratory logistics will be an added advantage.
