Job Summary
SPD Constructions Ltd. is looking for an experienced Site Engineer – Civil for its project in Bahadurgarh, Haryana.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising and executing day-to-day civil construction activities, coordinating with subcontractors and site teams, monitoring quality and progress, and ensuring that work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.
Candidates with hands-on experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or industrial building construction will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute day-to-day civil construction activities as per approved structural and architectural drawings.
- Ensure work is carried out as per project specifications, approved BOQs, method statements, and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and other resources required for site activities.
- Supervise activities including shuttering/formwork, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, flooring, and other civil works.
- Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, reinforcement, shuttering, and workmanship during execution.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site In-Charge, QA/QC, MEP, Planning, Safety, Stores, and subcontractors.
- Monitor daily work progress and ensure assigned activities are completed within the planned schedule.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports to the reporting manager.
- Identify site constraints, delays, and technical issues and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Interpret construction drawings and provide necessary technical instructions to supervisors and workmen.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure proper manpower deployment, productivity, quality, and timely completion.
- Prepare material requirements and coordinate with the Stores/Procurement team for timely availability of materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage, rework, and unnecessary costs.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team during inspections and ensure timely closure of quality observations and snags.
- Maintain proper records of work progress, measurements, material consumption, inspections, and site activities.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with site safety and HSE requirements.
- Participate in site meetings and provide updates regarding work progress, manpower, materials, and technical issues.
- Ensure all assigned activities are completed within the required quality, cost, safety, and schedule parameters.
Education
- BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in civil construction.
- Candidates with experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or industrial building projects will be preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in site execution and subcontractor coordination is required.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
- Knowledge of MS Project for project scheduling and progress tracking will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of construction materials, methods, quality standards, and safety practices.
